About the Project
The West Apron pavement of Manassas Regional Airport has reached the end of its useful life and is beginning to deteriorate. The City of Manassas has decided to proceed with the design of Phase I of the West Apron Rehabilitation project, which includes the rehabilitation of pavement, restriping, and reconfiguration of tie-downs on the west side of the airport. The project will remove two access points to the apron from Taxiway A to meet new FAA geometric and safety standards. Construction for this project is anticipated in Fall 2017.
UPDATE 9/21/2017: The Notice to Proceed has been issued to the contractor. Construction is anticipated to begin on September 25, 2017, and will begin with work in the Dulles Aviation leasehold. Dulles Aviation and Westside Aviation will remain open throughout the duration of the project.
