About the Project
The West Apron pavement of Manassas Regional Airport has reached the end of its useful life and is beginning to deteriorate. The City of Manassas has decided to proceed with the design of Phase I of the West Apron Rehabilitation project, which includes the rehabilitation of pavement, restriping, and reconfiguration of tie-downs on the west side of the airport. The project will remove two access points to the apron from Taxiway A to meet new FAA geometric and safety standards. Construction for this project is anticipated in Fall 2017.
UPDATE 05/15/2018: Fuel-resistant seal coat is being installed at tiedown parking positions. Permanent striping, including tiedown T-markings and numberings, will be installed in mid to late June.
