Runway 34R Approach Lighting System – Construction
About the Project
The Airport is proceeding with the construction of a Medium Intensity Approach Lighting System with flashers (MALSF) for Runway 34R to reduce minimums, increase safety and provide pilots with a greater level of service. The project will include light structures and bases, underground electrical, a MALS shelter and associated electronics and equipment. This state-funded project began construction on January 30, 2017 and reached substantial completion on May 4, 2017.
UPDATE July 2017: The Manassas 34R MALSF is complete and available for use!
